True, but if she lives outside NYC, or any other place where the tenant has no right to a new lease, she could have a problem with this moronic landlord when the lease expires. Hell, once I had a landlord break a lease on me (this was in the boondocks of Connecticut years ago) under similar circumstances! Some real loonies own buildings.
