: Your landlord is also probably required by law to light the entranceway from the street to your front door adequately. However, you may need to organize a few tenants to go, or prepare to go, on rent strike to show your landlord he is dealing with people who know their rights. You can do it alone, but it's better if you have at least one other tenant with you.
