Indemnication

Posted by Donna Huehner on July 02, 1997 at 15:59:40:

With this months rent notice, the landlord placed a rather legal looking document which he wanted me to sign. "It is the intention of the parties hereto that the Lessee(me) indemnify Lessor and Overlandlord as of July 1, 1997. I told the landlord that I did not intend to sign such a document as he needed to get an insurance company to indemnify him.(he claims that this is only to protect the coop board from people wearing inline skates etc. I don't roller skate. Is this a form of Harassment?) He got real angry when I wouldn't sign and said that he would check with Rent Stabilization. What's happening? Does he really think I'm nuts?
