If you would like to join thousands of other con-
cerned tenants in Albany on Tuesday, May 20,
go to the Tenantnet main page. Scroll down
the left side of the page, next to New York
Tenant Ticker, and click on "New York
Tenant Organizations." Go to" East Side Tenants
Coalition, April, 1997 Newsletter." Towards the
end of the newsletter you'll find a form you can
print out, fill in and send to ESTC. Having gone on
this trip in the past, I can tell you the ride is on a
comfortable, air-conditioned bus with restrooms
aboard, there are meetings set up with legislators
when we get there, and you'll be reassured to see
you are not alone in the struggle to maintain your
home.
Please note: You don't have to live on the
East Side to sign up. However, if the East Side
stops planned are not convenient for you, call
Met Council(212)693-0553 and sign up with them.
No matter which tenant group you go with, do
be sure you GO!
