Hi all. Any thoughts on how I can find answers to the following 2
questions (as they apply in NYC):

1) If a tenant does not vacate immediately at the end of a lease is the
landlord required to pro-rate rent for the number of overstayed days or can rent be
charged for the entire month?

2) If the tenant overstays the lease, how many days must pass (if any)
before the landlord can begin eviction proceedings?

Your opinion as well as a reference would be appreciated. Thanks.
