Hi. I've just moved out of a rental property here in Denver CO and bought my first house. But my landlords are totally unreasonable and I know they will try to keep my deposit and force me to pay the last month's rent too--though there is no damage to the premises! My question is, after I pay that last month's rent, what happens if someone else moves in before that month is over? Do I get money back by law, or does the landlord get to keep the extra cash?

Anyone know the answer to this one? Seems like a landlord should not be able to rent one place to two different people at the same time, but then that's just logic for you, not reality.
