$20 a month additional to have your air conditioner and you're complaining? We live upstate, pay our own electric, run 9,000 btu air conditioner maybe six hours a day only, and in the course of a month our bill increases at the very least 60 dollars a month. Considering we need it generally May, June, July, Aug, Sept, & Oct, that's a total of $360 a year. And cost of living is much more in NYC so be glad that you don't have to pay the whole electric bill yourself. Further, because we, as tenants, pay our own electric, we run on low instead of high and set the thermostat accordingly. For $20 a month, you, who are getting a REAL bargain, can probably run the thing 24 hours a day.
