Pataki was on WABC this morning pushing his vacancy decontrol plan. The best part came when a caller brought up all the money that has been donated to the Republican party by building owners and Pataki insisted that the owners did not like his plan. They then took a break and the commercial that came on was for Pataki's plan. The commercial was paid for by the Rent Stabilization Assoc. (an organization of building owners with a very misleading name). The hosts of the show are a bit on the dim side but one of them asked "who put out that commercial?" and Pataki was silent. The other host (very pro-Pataki) answered "Rent Stabilization".
