We live in a rent stablized building that has one tenant
(read current Upper West Side Resident Weekly Paper) that has
been protect beyond the rights of the other residents in the
building.

Over the past 6 years, he has collected trash to the point where
the building's public hallways and lobby reeked! We were finally forced
to go on rent strike only to find out that he is protected by the city.
What has housing in NYC come to that someone has mentally incapacitated
can continue to live in a building and be a threat to our health and safety.

Please help give us some direction as to what we can do! Housing court seems
to be a nightmare!

Desperately in dispair.
