Here's the quick and dirty - have been inhabiting a three-bedroom townhouse for 2 years, just signed another 12 month lease.
Only supposed to have one dog, 12 lbs and under. I actually have a 20 lb dog and three cats - and the rental agent has been aware
of this since 1995! The maintenace people are in and out of here all
the time, and know our animals by name. I just heard they are
cracking down on "illegal" pets and oversized dogs - I haven't gotten a notice,
but that means nothing - could have been delivered to the wrong door (this happens a lot).
I am in Memphis TN - do I have ANY rights, since they've known about animals since 1995?
It's even written on the work slips if there are pets in the apartment or
not. Anyone? I'd appreciate the help!
