I had written to Mayor Giuliani urging him to support a
Rent Stabilization bill in the City Council with no
weakening amendments. I received a letter back from Randy
Mastro, Deputy Mayor for Operations stating that Leslie
Holmes had passed away last year.

After persistent inquiries to that office, I was finally
told that Leslie Holmes had been the tenant representative
on the Rent Guidelines Board and that no one has replaced
her.

Would it serve any purpose to call and urge them to get a
new tenant representative?
