has anyone had any experience breaking a lease in NYC to move to another state (on account of a job offer/transfer)?
i know that at least in California, being transferred a 100 miles away from your apartment constitutes grounds to terminate a lease.
i am wondering if management can come after me in Illinois, wreck my credit rating and/or drag me into court.
any thoughts would be appreciated!
