I sent the owner (an individual) of the coop that I rent sixty days notice.
The certified letter was returned to me undeliverable. I am ready to
vacate as of Dec.1. Will I legally have any difficulty recovering my
security deposit? The owner has been a problem the entire year. She loses
the rent checks sent through regular mail expecting me to bear the burden of
the bank fees, but does not pick up the certified checks unless directed to
by a person claiming to be her attorney. I do not anticipate the owner
returning the security deposit in any case without a problem.
