I live in a 5 bedroom house in Mass. Three of us have our names on the leas (has not been signed yet.)
Our landlady had decided (with our prior approval) to rent one of the rooms to a friend of hers.
Charging us the same rent, for 4 bedrooms. Now she's saying that she's not going to have her friend
pay utilities. Is there anything I can do to protect myself?
Also we had a verbal agreement to have a 4th person of our choice move in to the empty room which she is
now not pleased about. Again, what can we do to protect ourselves?
Basicaly, there are three of us paying for a 5 bedroom house that could have been rented to 5 people
who would have shared the rent and utilities.
