I just moved to the east coast from L.A.. Looking for an apartment in Manhattan seems to be awefully difficult, costly and different.
I am looking for an apartment available in August. But it seems that if whenever I find something good, they require immediate occupancy. And if I don't start now, I am afraid I would have no place to stay at in August.
I wonder when should I really start looking for an apartment?
Also, there are discussions on Apartment store and Apartment source. I have been thinking about those. But are those of any good? What's difference between their service and a broker's?
Just to end addressing of all my confusions, I am very frustrated as the quality of apartments I get seeing as I am willing to pay up to $1500 for a studio and nothing has really come up yet.
