Realtors of the damned

Posted by Jason Ridgfield on February 23, 2002 at 12:35:01:

Renting a town house. The realtors will not fix a broken lock on a window. They only fix the bear minimum. I've asked to get out of the lease since I can't afford it and the place is in bad shape. They denied me the first time and now I still want to get out five months into the lease. Would it be wise to assign the property since it was left silent on the lease? What would happen to my security deposit if I broke the lease 6 months into it? Would I lose it all probably? It feels like I made my own expensive prison sentence. I'll never get out of this place and the realtors have given me nightmares and made my life pretty awful. They have been dishonest, cheap, and downright unproffesional. The Better Business Beurau should be contacting but they will probably sue me for everthing as that's their evil nature. I'll never get out of this prison sentence. Please, can someone give me advice besides the usually fix everything yourself you lousy tenant.

Jason
