impossible. there are only maybe 4 states in the entire COUNTRY who have rent stabilization/control laws. of these 4, nyc is the only one to have a 'roommate' law, and, since it's the only one with that law, it is also the only one with a 'roommate overcharge' statute.
so, explain again to me how a roommate overcharge complaint can happen in any unregulated unit anywhere in the country. i'm all ears.
