My apartment stinks...literally! Since I moved in 10 days ago to my ancient 5th-floor pad, I've had a massive odor assail my nostrils whenever i entered. My only solution has been to open every window in the place and air it out. I've also noticed that every time the radiators come on, the smell gets wors, and that there's some warping in certain areas of the wood floor. My guess, and the super's, is that there is a leak somewhere in the pipes that lead to the radiators--steam is escaping, and it's starting to rot the floorboards, causing warping and a nasty odor. Has anyone seen this before? What can we do about it? My super seems as confused as I am, and doesn't really seem sure what to do about it. But I can't live with this odor much longer.
