Foam

What we've been using is liquid foam. You can buy aerosol cans of this stuff at any hardware store. You shoot some of it in the crack, and it expands to fill the void and close the crack. It dry's pretty solid.

: Mice hate steel wool. You must seal every hole, no matter how small.
: Mix up a batch of plaster-of-paris(mix with water) and shred a lot of steel wool into that. With a putty knife fill up the holes. Get the steel wool from the hardware store-do not get the kind with soap(SOS) in it-mice will eat the soap. Use a flashlight to look under and behind plumbing, sinks, toilets, in closets, behind radiators.
