Glad the landlord is letting you retrieve your stuff. Hope everything goes OK. One last thing - since your name is presumably still on the lease, try to get a brief written statement from the landlord releasing you from that lease. This way he won't be able to come to you for the rent if your ex doesn't pay. Of course if he doesn't know your address, its unlikely he would anyway, but getting the statement is just covering all your bases.


: Thanks for the advice...I actually contacted the landlord again, and though I had to play a little hardball with him, he has agreed to be the one to let me into the apartment to retrieve my belongings. I think he realized he had no other choice.
