Usually 24 hours.....but then you can use this as an opportuntiy to show the landlord what needs to be fixed and hand him a written letter about it. Be nice, its the landlords property and they have a right to do preventative maintenence....just like you would do on a saturday with your car...check the oil, transmisson, air filter, antifreeze, check for leaks ....to help keep it from having unexpected problems later on.

: Can anybody shed any light on how much advanced notice a landlord is required to give a tenant in NY State (Syracuse NY)? My lease just says landlord must give advanced notice.
