is your apt heated by forced air ducts? These ducts are normally connected through entire house popular in 2FH. Unfortunately there is not much you can do legally. Perhaps close the vent in that particular room or buy a fresh-air cleaner. You can try the nice approach and speak to LL, but prepare yourself if he doesnt make any changes. Its difficult when it comes to smokers and their addiction. They are almost always offended when you bring up the issue of their bothersome smoking or asking them to change what they do in your presence. You can only control what goes on in your house basically.
