If you knew there were violations, why did you move in? Are you attempting to live rent free? You didnt know u would be sharing a con ed line when you moved in? If you could afford to move, I guess you can stir waters. But if you cant, dont screw yourself in the process. Sometimes removing tenants from illegals doesnt take as long as some people tend to think. They wont allow you to stay there indefinitedly. Ultimately, you will have to move.
