Have to prove YOUR charge

Anything in the media will probably not be admissible. Certainly, anything from a prior case that is in the offical record of the case would be admissible, as long as it pertains directly to your complaint.

In an overcharge situation, I think it's basically a matter of proving the numbers and the cash flows (ie what you were supposted to pay, and what you did pay). I doubt any superfluous evidence will help you.

: Are prior offenses by a LL admissable in housing court or to the DHCR to support a case?

: I'm probably going to court soon for an overcharge case regarding my manhattan, RS apt. My LL has had numerous offenses against him and has been written about in several New York publications due to his dirty dealings. I would love to be able to bring these things up to support the fact that this man is a crook.
