addition to rent went up..no lease..it is a private house with two seperate aparments..my lease states to pay half the water the tentants in the other part of the house pay...the other half..we also pay half electric and half oil..all bill except water are in back tentants name...my lease ends of 2001 of february. My lease was suppose to end of 2001 in february..however when i wrote the check i put on the bottom of the check upon cashing renew lease for one..year.now the rent has gone up..but we dont have a lease that says so..or a time period...do i still pay him 1100 and what about the rent increase...i dont have a lease..however my lease does state that all increases are to be mailed certified..from him to me and vise versa..so i believe the only thing to do is to send him a certified letter stating i will continue to pay 1100 a month until i sign a new lease?? correct...
