The new owners, if they/he/she is a natural person, own the building in their own name and not that of a corporation, may try to get one or more of the apartments for their personal use. The Landlord can refuse to renew the lease if they want the apartment for their use or that of a family member. If the new owners are a corporation, then they can't do it.
