If you rented it from him?her furnished, then 10% is allowed on top of the rent plus another 10% sublet fee which is supposed to go to the LL. By furnished, there can be literally a card table and chair and voila it's furnished! And what you saw-the papers- isn't neccessarily the real rent-the real rent is what he actually pays to his LL.. But you chose to rent it because obvoiusly you thought it was a great deal. And you didn't pay a brokers fee, or have to submit to a credit check $60)or a backround check from those nosy landlords or brokers.
