Hi! I had a year Lease from August 17, 2000 until August 18, 2001. At the end of this My landlord and I made verbal agreement for me to stay 5 or 6 more months. I then paid rent in September ont he 17th (due date). When it came time to pay rent on October 17th my Landlord informed me not to pay rent because he had filed Bancruptcy. Now this month November 12th another tenant tells me he owns the building> I saw paper saying the original owner signed building to other guy, but i dont know if these papers are legal or if this is believable. What is my next move cause i know not what i should do?
