: First I wanted to thank everyone who responded to me in regard to my noisy upstairs neighbor. I compiled a log of my complaints and called the Quality of Life Hotline and the police arrived in less that 5 minutes! This is the first week that I've had peace and quiet in the last 2 years and I really appreciate all the support I received!

: Now for my question. Could someone tell me specifically what the difference is between "rent stabilized" and "rent controlled?" My rent has been raised every year that I renewed my lease and I was told that my building was "rent stabilized," but one of my co-workers just told me that this means my building is "rent controlled." Thanks again!
