the 30 days would normally begin at the beginning of a lease period, in your case, a month. assume your lease starts on the first of the month, 10/1, 11/1, etc. from the date the ll receives the letter, you would go to he beginning of the next rental period, and then count 30 days. in your situation, if your l got the letter ON 10/1, then the 30 days starts ticking on 10/1, so 10/31 would be your last day.
