Owner has to occupy the apt for 3 years. Renovating isn't the issue-try to keep your eye on who actually moves into the apt. My guess is that it shouldn't be more than another 6 to 8 weeks for the renovations and you'll have your answer as to whether or not LL's son moves in. Check the buzzer, ask a neighbor.
