Another one asking us how her boyfriend can take up a "secondary residence" in an rent controlled apartment that she herself doesn't use. Rent controlled apartments are for real tenants who need housing, honey. If your boyfriend wants a second residence, let him buy one on the free market. Why do you seek to rent an apartment you can't live in? Prepare yourself for a time consuming and costly battle, which you'll eventually lose. And that may be bad for you, but good for tenants as a whole.
