I was already in that situation; fortunately I spoke with my LL and they allowed me to break the lease as long as I give them 30 days notice. If closing is a month early, what does the seller have to do with your lease. you lost me. has he already accepted your bid? he may have changed his mind and is now trying to get out of contract? Besides, if its one month early, negotiate with LL to show the apt as soon as possible, or just pay the month and its done, over.

: Is it a law that a landlord of an apartment complex has to let you go early from your lease if you are closing on a house before the lease term is up?

: We are planing on buying a house, but the closing date might be a month early. That landlord said we could only sub-lease, not get out early. This is effecting the seller's desicion to let us buy the house!!! They wont let us bid for a month!

: Is there a law that helps us? We live in western NY. (Rochester)
