as i understand it, a broker cannot also be the owner of a property he/she offers to prospective tenants. just because this mgmt co. has a broker's license doesn't make this okay. so not only is it lazy on their part to foist this on you, it is illegal. if they give you grief, ask for everything in writing (documents with the names of the mgmt co and names of the brokers, some of which should be the same).
