This would be good ammo both for you to pressure the LL to get your neighbor out, and also for the LL to use in housing court to get an eviction. Since it is a court order, it would carry alot of weight in housing court.

: I have a neighbor in an adjoining apartment that is harassing me. The NYPD want to charge him with aggravated harassment, and are encouraging me to take out an order of protection against him. My question is this, is my landlord/management company obliged to do something about this? They have been made aware of what is going on for some time, and are somewhat sympathetic, but are not prepared to do anything about it. It's okay to have one tenant living in fear of another tenant? Are they liable if and when this lunatic physically hurts me? I've been in my home for six years, why should I have to move over some lunatic?
