: You need to contact a professional tenant advocate to give you specific advice. I will tell you that the rent increases for MCI are restricted to 1/40th of the improvement costs. This is where landlords typically overstate the costs associated with the construction. I have been successful in documenting actual construction costs to assist in fighting the rent increase.
