DJ, you are treading on thin ground. They asked where and how they could file a complaint and you make a legal conclusion without even knowing all the facts, and you somehow bring communism into it. If you have nothing valuable to say, then don't.

: No you were not discriminated against, becuase you were NOT buying a co-op, you were buying SHARES in a corporation that OWNS the co-op.
: And becuse of this fact, the co-op board in their business judgement denied you the right to purchaes the shares, which is their right to do.
: Judges will NOT overturn a business decesion, so the only advice....stay away from co-ops...as you have found out it is the last vestages of COMMUNISM in America
: You would be able to file for discrimination if it were a condo board, because you would be buying actual property, and not shares.
