: Hi, my landlord mistakenly put the wrong date on my lease.. essentially it is expired (she put 3/2001 instead of 3/2002) I had the option of a 6,9,or12 month lease at the time of signing. I've been there 6mos now, & I'm giving the proper 30 day notice, and following the month-month lease. Can she hold me to reletting fee perscribed within the lease, because it was "supposed" to be a 12 mo lease. (I'm in Dallas, Tx.. large complex)

If your signature is dated and the term of the lease is explicitly stated (ex: 1 year,) then the LL would be able to identify "3/2001" as an error and not a lease expiration date.
