well joann, you asked for an extension which he granted; he didnt have to; ok, he charged you a fee; so whats the problem? you've lived there for two years without have any documentation of prior complaints you've made. sounds like you're making excuses to not pay your rent. If he takes you to court, which he probably will, it will cost you more than the rent. they can actually garnish your pay to cover the debt. Why create a headache. hey, nothing in life is free and you actually got the extension you needed for whatever the reason.
