technically, you are responsible for the total rent for the period defined by your lease. but i bet you will be able to work somethign out with your LL, esp if you have a couple of months still. most LLs just want to get paid every month, so offer to help find a new tenant, show the apt, etc. they could give you a hard time, but most LL's will find it less of a hassle to just let you out early.
