YOU look in the Yellow pages and call 2 or 3 places and get a WRITTEN estimate of the cost to repair.

YOU get a professional carpet cleaning company to shampoo the rugs

YOU buy a few disposable cameras and take pictures

YOU will present this evidence in front of the Judge, and YOU will probably WIN!

: I have 2 cats and the beginning of the hallway (front door) is frayed a bit and the end of the hallway (bedroom doorway) is frayed a little too. When I moved in my Hope Chest caught both door ways and of course since then the doors have added to the damage. Which I have no problem covering, its just that there is no way the whole entire rug has to be replaced because of that. And should I be responsible for it, I should be the one getting a carpet cleaner and/or patch work done. Right? She says that she will send me a bill when they have it done. I don't agree with that. It really sounds like she is trying to get me to pay another month's rent (about 700).
