write a letter to the management company explaining the situation, set a deadline (like the next time your rent is due), and state that if the fridge isn't fixed you'll have to withhold rent until it is. it's pretty inexcusable that it's taken so long and the guy can't even get his act together enough to take a look at it. and especially with a little kid in the house, you'd think they'd be a little more compassionate. you've been pretty patient, whereas most people would be freaking out if their fridge stopped working for a minute!
