I live in an 18 unit tenament walk up on the upperwest side that was built in the late 1800's. I have a written lease. I wanted to know if it's the law to have a buzzer if your building has more than 8 units? We have NO buzzer here and it's very dangerous at times. How can I get my LL to put in a buzzer? Do I need to start a tenants organization or can I just report it to someone that will rectify this matter?
