What rights does someone who has been illegally subletting have? No sublease has been signed. Does the prime tenant have to still give 30 days notice before evicting a subletter, even if the subletter has stopped paying rent? Can the subletter be forcibly removed, even with proof that he has been living there for more than a year? This is a non-rent stabilized or controlled apt.
