The dot com bubble has burst. But while it was alive, it was great...not just for the dot commers, but for those who provided services to them, for the restaurants, dry cleaners, car services, and other small business that catered to them. For the owners of old warehouse space that was vacant and rotting. For the survivors of the dot com bubble, those enterprises strong enough, profitable enough, who are transforming everything we do, online and off.

The anarchists and bums that were there, are there. They watched in awe as the dot commers rose, complained a lot about them, but were powerless to do anything. The bubble was burst not by the wishes of a few bums but by the realities of the marketplace.

I hear that some of the yippie crowd has now moved off their asses to protest world trade. Like the rest of us are going to go back to the fuedal era with and not trade nor see anyone outside of our villages. No thanks. The article is stupid and out of date.
