I agree. But sometimes, I think people really have it in their head that because they own a house, they really can do whatever they want and they get all indignant and "how-dare-you-sue-me-don't-you-know-I-own-property" when they come to court. If they had any clue that their renters do have rights even though they own the building, and if they had any idea of the fines and other penalties they could be subjected to for blatant disregard of the law and housing codes, I thik most LLs would at least try to be shifty about breaking the law instead of so damned blatant.
