My husband,me, and our 2 childeren(ages 3 and 9 months) were renting his mother's house without a lease but with a statement signed by her that we WERE renting the house. I was at work and my husband was in jail and she had her daughter come and change the locks on me. We live in Nebraska and by law she is required to give a 3 day notice then procede with a court hearing. She did neither of these things. Now I cant get anything. Not even my childeren's clothes. The police say they can't do anything because there was no lease. HELP!!!
