Hi there- I will be subletting a friend's NY rent stabilized, unfurnished place for a year starting next month. We notified the ll of our plans by phone and sent him the proper sublease paperwork by FedEx over a month ago. We haven't heard anything back so far. I understand he can legally add an additional 10% fee to the rent while I'm subleasing, but can he add it on at any point during the year? Or is he required to notify me ahead of time?
