Mitchell Lama is subsidized housing for middle-class New Yorkers. Many buildings have long waiting lists to get in. I hope you aren't asking us how to subvert this process screw over other bonna fide tenants who need housing.

If you want an apartment that you can keep for generations, to hand down to your children, then BUY one, don't rent. Get a condo or coop. In the long run MUCH cheaper than renting. Good luck.
