O.K. I live in Texas. I'm sorry I did not realize that this was for NY residents. I was trying to get any help I could. If you are still interested, upon signing my lease I agreed that anyone who lived on the property would have to have a background check. It was in the lease. I was told it was for protection against sexual offenders.
Three months ago when I signed the lease they told me that he would have to have one run. When they gave me the application last week they told me that if he had any drug charges that he would have to leave. All I need to know is if possesion of marijuana and possesion of a controlled substance are the same and if they can just kick him out now. Thanks for your help. I must have posted messages on twelve different boards today.
